Creativity doesn’t wait for that perfect moment. It fashions its own perfect moments out of ordinary ones. The annual day celebrations of classes 5-12 created a wide spectrum of vibrant colours by transforming the ordinary to the extraordinary with the spark of creativity. Peterian Panache, the annual day celebrations of classes 5-12 was held on 25th January 2020 . The official function started at 4.3o pm. Dr. V.M. Victor George , former Registrar, KUFOS was the guest of honour. Principal, Mrs. Sonia Susan Varkey, Vice Principals, Mr. C .O. Abraham and Mr. Antony Jude and kindergarten Head Mrs. Mary Margaret graced the occasion with their presence. The chief guest of the day, Dr. Victor George inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp, and addressed the gathering. Principal, Mrs. Sonia Susan Varkey presented the Annual Report 2019-20. The students were awarded for their meritorious performance in the academic and non -academic areas. |

The official function was followed by cultural events. Accentuating the most important message given by the Swedish teen climate activist, Greta Thunberg regarding saving the planet by reducing the use of plastics and green- house gas emissions, the students of class 7 presented ‘The Trendsetters’. The programme was truly an eye opener for each and every one.
‘ Njanapeedathinte Edukal’ by class 5 students presented a journey through the marvelous creations of the stalwarts of Malayalam literature and thus highlighting the significance of our mother tongue Malayalam. It was in real a reminder for each and every individual of the need to understand the true essence of their mother tongue and their culture.
“If defeated and killed on the field of battle, we shall surely earn eternal glory and salvation.” When she said “I shall not surrender my Jhansi” it was very clear that she was determined to save Jhansi from the clutches of British. ‘The Queen of Jhansi’ by class 8 students was a glowing tribute to the unexceptional woman warrior, Rani Lakshmi Bhai of Jhansi, who fought like a man till her last breath.
“Sir, please I want some more” echoed in the auditorium as Oliver Twist walked in. The students of class 6 presented the story of Oliver Twist through their creative masterpiece, ‘The Quest for Love’. It posed a question to each one gathered there. How far we are successful in bonding our children in that inescapable bondage of love or are we caging them in golden cages where they have everything but love?
‘Cadence of Nature’ by class 9 students presented the threats of technology and the need to go back to nature by understanding the five elements or the Panchabhoota.
‘Riding on Reveries’ by the students of class 11took us back to the time of Doordarshan. Chithrahaar , a medley of old and new Hindi songs and its regional variant, Chithramanjari were presented in its full essence and colour. All together it was an unforgettable visual treat for the audience
