Annual Day 2016 – 17 {Classes VII - XII}

The mega event of the Golden Jubilee year 2016-17, the Annual Day, was celebrated by St.Peter’s, on 16th December , in great zest and creativity. The formal meeting commenced at 4.30 p.m and District and Sessions Judge,Shri .Murali Gopal Pandala was the chief guest on the occasion. Mr.Pushkar Vohra also graced the occasion with his esteemed presence. The Vice Principal, Mrs.Susy Paul extended a convivial welcome to the august gathering. Dr.C.T.Abraham, the President of St.Peter’s Education Trust delivered the Presidential Address. The management conferred special honours upon our Principal Mrs.Sreekala Ram, in recognition for receiving the Jury’s Choice Award 2016-17, as India’s best school in Kerala , among the other schools in India. The Principal presented the annual report along with the power point presentations unveiling the moments of achievements by the students and the school, which acts as a hub for educational excellence. It was followed by the award distribution ceremony to the outstanding performers in various fields like sports, arts, academics etc. The School Anthem sung by the school choir really throbbed the hearts of each Peterian with pride. The vote of thanks was proposed by Master Edwin Johny, the School Headboy.

 

The visual treat of the day , an array of exhilarating entertainment programmes were perfectly woven on the theme ‘CHANGE’. The amazing and alluring performance of class VII depicted the changes that have come in families from the primitive days to the modern times. It brought out the authentic message of strengthening the familial relationship. The bewitching and hilarious performance by class VIII showcased the changes in the Malayalam films and various characters from the hit Malayalam films like ‘Chemmeen’, ‘Kilukkam’, ‘Manichitrathazhu’, etc were brought alive on the stage , making the spectators lost in a world of charm blended with a refreshing originality.

 

The educational changes portrayed by class IX gave us a vivid description of educational systems from Gurukula System to the modern education. It was undoubtedly appealing to the eyes to watch the changes in the realm of dance, by class X students. The various dance performances accompanied by the enthralling rich music, with their breath taking and scintillating steps, captivated the spectators. The enrapturing musical changes performed by class XI, with colours and skills added to it, enchanted and enthralled the audience, making them feel immersed in those melody dipped music.

The superb and gorgeous show came to an end with a great debt of gratitude to all for the terrific and collective effort taken for making it a grand success. The day was indeed a gladsome one for all Peterians, as it really made them feel proud to be a part of St.Peter’s .The day bolstered confidence and creativity, leaving the great message that “Change is inevitable for growth and success”.
